Gunnar Waage is an internationally notable drummer, composer, educator who has received praise through the years in the drumming community for his flawless technique and compositions.
Gunnar has a quite a reputation as a drumming instructor for the past 30 years. Starting at the Drum and Dance Center in Minneapolis, an afro-cuban training ground for drummers and dancers. Then as a one of the founders of the G. Martell University of Music in Mexico City. Later at Reykjavík’s Music Academy in Iceland and since 2004 at his own, The Gunnar Waage School of Drums.
